Blog Entry #2: The Horse With No Name
YAH, YA! Galloping hastily in and out of trees, whipping the reins along the horse's back. The sound of hand canons going off from the rear; bullets splintering trees to his left and right, just missing his sharp ears with the last shot before they reload.
"IS THAT ALL YA'HAV YUH SUNS UH BITCHES!" the rider yells, filling the momentarily still air.
The distance between them and the gang begins to grow. The sound of panting in the air was so loud you couldn't tell if it was the horse or his rider at this point.
The yells and gunshots begin to dim until it is just them and the morning dew as the sun begins to break out of the horizon and through the leaves for the start of a new day.
The horse and his rider spent the next 6 days heading east with nowhere to go but as far from where they just came as possible. No food, and no water beyond the occasional stream; just the sheer will to make it one more day.
At the end of the 6th day though, their luck began to change. The bounce between deep woods and swamp land had ended with the start of a small dirt road that appeared to lead to a town he could feel in the distance. They begin to muster up some speed out of excitement and desperation for this chapter to end, and it would.
Coming to an abrupt halt as he looks upon the town of west raven; panting deep breathes in and out of his snout with absolute purpose; there is a cloud steam coming from this unknown figure with the apocalyptic feeling of darkness always on his trail.
The strange figure and his rider begin to approach the town with a confident hesitation, knowing that where they just came from is behind them but not out of worries view yet.
The sun is down, and the town is now silent.
"Where do we go from here?" the rider thinks as they move steadily into the town.
to be continued...
